Senator Meredith WANTS PEOPLE TO STILL BE ABLE TO SMOKE FROM 18-20 YEARS OF AGE BUT NOT VAPE.
What You NEED TO DO

Email this to your senator:

As one of your constituents I urge you to kill any attempt by Senator Meredith to move forward any bill or amendment that embraces any version of Tobacco 21. The vapor industry generates almost 100 million dollars in taxable revenue each year with almost 15% of our clientele being ages 18-20. T21 will close scores of locally owned vapor businesses throughout Kentucky while eliminating almost 15 million dollars of that taxable revenue. Youth usage is an enforcement issue considering that most school systems merely confiscate vapor devices and return them at end of day. Making it T21 does nothing to discourage minors from continuing to use these devices.
E-cigarettes are 95% safer than traditional cigarettes while being twice as effective at smoke cessation as the patch or gum. Don’t deny our 18-20 year olds the right to use this technology while crippling the vapor industry and costing 100’s of people their jobs.

Sincerely,

We managed to stop Senator Meredith’s T21 bill at the Senate Agricultural Hearing on Monday. Not to be stopped he is attempting to amend a different bill to add in Tobacco 21 but only for vapor products. To be clear…HE WANTS PEOPLE TO STILL BE ABLE TO SMOKE FROM 18-20 YEARS OF AGE BUT NOT VAPE.
